Anyone purchasing goods from THE EARRING COLLECTION website is deemed to have read, understood and accepted the following terms and conditions which are governed under English Law. Only adults 18 years of age or more may enter into legal contracts and are thus entitled to use this website.
The Earring Collection is a partnership between John Hodgson and Ekaterina Elskaya whose business address is Drift, 1 High Street, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, PO41 0PL so you are dealing with real people and not a corporation!
All of our prices are subject to change. We source our earrings from many parts of the world and will re-calculate the prices as and when we re-stock.
However, the price you see on the website, at the time you place an order, is the price you pay, in UK pounds and inclusive of UK Vat (now 20%) and standard delivery within the UK.
Our VAT number is 931 8969 80 but this will be shown on all invoices & delivery papers.
Deliveries to any country within the EC will also include UK vat.
Deliveries outside the EC will include zero sales tax.
Import duties, taxes or other customs charges levied on entry into your country will be your responsibility
We may, from time to time, issue promotional discount codes, either directly to customers or through advertising. Each will have a time limit. That’s it – there aren’t any other conditions!
You may pay for your order by credit or debit cards processed using Worldpay, or by Paypal. Both are about as secure as it gets and use industry-standard SSL encryption.
We’re sorry but we do not accept American Express or Diners Club cards – they’re way too expensive for us! And I’m afraid for security reasons we don’t accept cash, cheques or postal orders.
The display of goods on our website is deemed an “invitation to treat”, and your online order constitutes an offer. This allows us to check and confirm availability, prices and credit card authorisation before it becomes a legal contract. On despatch of the items ordered, we will send you a confirmation e-mail and at that point the contract of sale takes effect.
We reserve the right to refuse any order, if, for example
· We find that we don’t have enough stock to fulfil your order
· We do not deliver to your area
· Your payment authorisation fails
· We have made an error in entering the prices onto the website

Please notify us by e-mail that the goods are faulty or damaged within 3 days of receipt.
The items should be returned to us within 7 working days, unworn and in the original packaging with a copy of our invoice and a note of the fault to:

Please use First Class Royal Mail Recorded Delivery as we cannot be held liable for items lost in transit.
On receipt, faulty items will be inspected and a refund will be processed for the original cost together with your return postage so long as - the goods are deemed to have been faulty or damaged in transit; and unworn; and the original packaging is complete.
We hope that you are very pleased with your earrings and that they look at least as beautiful as you were expecting. However, if you aren’t entirely happy, you have the peace of mind of our returns policy.
If, for any reason when they arrive, you don’t want to keep your earrings, just notify us by e-mail within seven working days after you receive them, quoting your invoice/reference number.
Please do not try them on or wear them, we cannot give you a refund if you do!

We recommend that you use First Class Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery as we cannot be held liable for items lost in transit.
On receipt, as long as they are unworn, undamaged and in original packaging, we will simply refund the original cost within 30days without hassle or the need to chase us! You just pay for the return postage!
Unfortunately, we cannot refund any Special Delivery premium charges.
We’re sorry but, due to the complexities of Customs and Taxes, we cannot accept returns from International locations.
We do not exchange goods. Sorry, but it gets complicated and expensive and there is always a price difference and everybody gets confused and it’s much simpler just to order the “other” item and return the original order for a refund as above. Which we’ll happily do.
Amendments to orders
It is complicated and expensive to process an addition to an order already placed. If you want an additional item, you should make another order for it. But we will keep our eyes open for multiple orders to the same address and try to combine them into one parcel.
We take all reasonable care to ensure accuracy of the contents on our website but the earring collection cannot accept any liability for any loss or costs arising out of the use of this website or the information thereon.
In any case, our entire liability in connection with a contract is limited to the price of the product.
